Blinding light.

You open your eyes, but quickly shut them. There's a blinding white light coming from directly in front of you. Strangely, you find that you are sitting up in a chair. You don't remember getting out of bed. Come to think of it, you don't remember getting in bed, either.

Once again you attempt to open your eyes, blocking out some of the light with your hand. You stand up and look around as your eyes adjust to the light.

You're quite sure that you've never been here before.

The walls, floor, and ceiling are all completely blank, and completely unfamiliar. They're painted a very passive gray color, and appear to be completely flat and smooth. The floor is about ten feet across in both directions, and the ceiling is about eight feet above you.

The chair you were sitting on is big -- easily big enough for at least one other person. It is covered with cushions, but still feels hard to the touch and is very uncomfortable. You wonder how you were ever able to sleep on it.

The only light source is the television in front of you. You guess that it must be at least eighty inches diagonally. It appears to be thin, but you can't see around it to be sure. Do they make LCD TVs that big? The near-blinding white light from the television fills much of the room, leaving harsh black shadows where the light doesn't reach.

Beside you is a small, expensive looking wooden table.

On the small table are a remote, a letter, and a post-it note.
