There! Light at the end of the tunnel. It took days of careful mapping, but he is finally out of the labyrinth. The secret valley he seeks is now within reach, and the prize hidden away in the tomb of the Alchemist. The tomb will no doubt be sealed against intruders, but that will hardly hinder the man determined to be the Second Alchemist. All his possessions but the clothes on his back had to be left behind while traversing the labyrinth, leaving him empty-handed to face the challenges to come. The prize is worth it, however, for gaining the knowledge buried in the tomb will bring with it untold rewards.

He stands beyond the exit of the labyrinth, looking north towards the patch of light streaming into the cave from the hidden valley. The maze itself lies to the south and no force on earth will ever make him enter that nightmare again. The rough cave walls widen northwards toward the exit and a faint wailing can be heard from that direction.
