This is a classic BASIC adventure from Creating Adventure Games On Your Computer, by Tim Hartnell, published in 1983. It is a mostly direct translation to Inform with a few odds and ends added. In being a translation of an older BASIC game, many of the descriptions are terse due to lack of RAM in those old dinosaurs. This was my first attempt at an Inform game and I learned the language while doing this game. As such, many things may have been done a little better, but the game is fully playable and, I hope, a small salute to Tim Hartnell for making such a great hobby book in the age of 8-bit!
